OUR TEAM

Meet the Team

At Hippity Hop Early Learning we acknowledge how important the formative years are in supporting the development of young children. We also understand the positive impact each individual early childhood educator can have on a child’s life and learning. We strive to employee highly experienced educators throughout our services and ensure the leadership of each centre is driven by Centre Managers who not only have a minimum 15 years plus in the industry but also have a passion for supporting families, mentoring our teams, and guiding children to meet their full potential.

Across our services we have proudly celebrated 19 staff who have reached 10 years of service, and another 17 who have been with us 5 to 7 years plus. This enables the high quality of education and care that only experience can truly provide and makes us who we are today.

KATE

PAKENHAM

My name is Kate, and I am proud to say that I am the Centre Director of Hippity Hop Early Learning Pakenham. I have been in this Industry for 23 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I started out my journey as an assistant educator and have worked my way through to a Lead Educator, Centre Manager, Operations Manager and then found my way back to a Centre Manager as I missed the daily interactions with families, staff and most of all the Children.

There is something amazingly special about caring for and being able to provide a high-quality education to other people’s children. I feel truly blessed at being a fundamental part of these children’s lives, watching them grow and develop, enjoying their achievements and milestones, wiping away the tears and being a part of the smiles and laughter of each day. I have a strong belief that every child should be given the opportunity to learn and live in a safe, secure and healthy environment so being able to offer a service that can provide that is so important to me. I pride myself on building strong partnerships with my team as well as our families and want them all to know I’m here should they ever need to chat.

RACHAEL

YARRAMBAT

I’m Rachael and proudly the Centre Director of Hippity Hop Early Learning Yarrambat. I have worked in the industry for over 16 years and specifically at this centre since we first opened our doors in 2020. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of setting up our amazing service from scratch and have put my heart and soul into every aspect of this services making it truly feel like it’s my second home. My passion lies around providing a Centre that feels like a home away from home to all our amazing staff, our families, and their children. Where children can feel truly valued, respected, and secure enough to explore, learn and develop. I lead my team with respect, compassion and integrity and empower them to be the best they can in order to provide the best they can. I’m so proud of how dedicated each one of our educators are and love nothing more than to hear the way a child voice is always placed at the forefront of everything they do.

I believe that all children and families should feel welcome when entering our service and want all families to know my door is open.

REBECCA

BERWICK

I’m Rebecca and I love being the Centre Director for Hippity Hop Early Learning Berwick. I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for the past 25 years, with the last 12 of those working in various roles across the Hippity Hop Early Learning family. I excitedly took on the role of Director here at Berwick when it first opened its doors in 2017. I am passionate about education and children having access to creative, open ended and high-quality learning environments. I believe doing so enables each individual child to develop to their greatest potential in a safe and supported way. I have an ongoing commitment to our service being active participants in our local community via connections to local organisations who support the learning potential of both our children and educators, giving them the skills to be active, confident and involved members of the local community. I’m proud to be supported by a phenomenal team of educators who priorities the rights of the child in everything they do.

KAREN TAINSH

ENDEAVOUR HILLS

Hi my name is Karen Tainsh and I’m the Centre Director of Hippity Hop Early Learning Endeavour Hills. I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 35 years. I also hold my food services certificates and enjoy assisting in the kitchen from time to time. I have three boys of my own who are 31, 29 and 23 and a
gorgeous Granddaughter. Early childhood has always been a passion of mine and I began my career early on in running my own family day care. I later went on to own my own centres for a number of years before deciding to sell. After selling my last centre and having a break I decided what I missed the most was the connection with the children and the amazing partnerships you build with the families along the way. That’s when I decided to join the Hippity Hop Early Learning Team and I couldn’t be happier. The team of educators I am lucky enough to work with everyday are some of the most passionate, highly skilled, and genuinely caring individuals I have ever worked with. This assists me greatly with my commitment to providing a high quality service that offers a high level of learning opportunities to all children within our
community.

STEPHANIE ELLIS

My name is Stephanie and I am the Operations Manager for Hippity Hop Early Learning. I have been working in Early Childhood for over 28 years now and a part of the Hippity Hop family since 2011. Over the years I have witnessed amazing changes in our industry with greater importance placed on the health, development and wellbeing of children within the early years as well as the provision for a high level of quality care and education. In my role, I love nothing more than to support our amazing teams to continue to develop their skills, celebrate their successes, revisit our goals and our vision and critically reflect. All in order to provide children with the best opportunities to grow and learn through their love of play, creativity and that all-important sense of wonder.

Training and culture

The culture of our company is important to us. We want passionate, happy, and engaged educators who enjoy coming to work and work together to create fun and positive work environments for everyone within them.

Some of the ways we achieve this is by providing training opportunities, cross centre kindergarten teacher meetings, celebrating big milestones, having fun days within the centre, fun external activities and a monthly focus on staff wellness and gratitude.
